What's New in PigeonChat

We've been busy! Here's everything we've shipped over the past couple of months — new ways to connect, create, and stay secure.

Video & voice calls, profile-link invites & smarter handle history

  • Call anyone on PigeonChat with crystal-clear video and voice calls — tap the phone or camera icon in any chat to start.
  • Calls now have a 60-minute timeout that closes the call automatically, so forgotten calls never drain your battery.
  • Invite friends by sharing your profile link — they land straight on your profile and can follow or chat in one tap.
  • Your invite links never break: every handle you've ever used is remembered, so old links still redirect to your current profile.
  • Smoother call audio: sound unblocks on any tap or gesture, and the receiver's phone stops ringing the moment the caller cancels.

Saved messages, polls, voice upgrades & a more expressive feel

  • Save any message with a tap and find it again in the new Saved tab — swipe in to delete anything you no longer need.
  • Keep chats tidy with AI Smart Sort, set friendly nicknames for contacts, and jump through important messages with the pinned-messages carousel.
  • Say more in group chats: create polls, reply in threads, @mention people, share events with RSVPs, forward messages, and send disappearing messages that vanish after they're seen.
  • Voice messages leveled up — transcribe a voice note to text with one tap, speed up playback (1×/1.5×/2×), and watch a live animated waveform as it plays.
  • A more expressive, polished feel: new notification sound themes, quiet hours, haptic feedback, satisfying reaction effects and a refined frosted-glass design.
